Descripción del producto

GENERALITIES:

Silicone-Acryl Sealant WHITE is a high-performance hybrid sealant based on siliconized acrylic dispersion. It combines the paintability and ease of use of acrylic sealants with the superior flexibility and moisture resistance of silicone, bridging the gap between standard painters' caulk and pure silicone. The product cures by water evaporation to form a permanently flexible, plasto-elastic joint with a clean white finish. Its enhanced elasticity (600% elongation, ±20 % movement capability) makes it ideal for joints subject to slight movement or vibration — such as window frames, staircases, and connections between dissimilar materials. Solvent-free and anti-corrosive.

  • Hybrid Performance: Combines acrylic paintability with silicone-grade flexibility — a true best-of-both formulation.
  • Superior Elasticity: 600 % elongation and ±20 % dilatation capability far exceed standard acrylic sealants, accommodating substrate movement without joint failure.
  • Paintable: Accepts acrylic and dispersion paint coatings after full cure — unlike pure silicone which rejects all paints.
  • Moisture Resistant: Improved resistance to humidity and occasional water contact compared to standard acrylics (must be protected with paint coating for prolonged exposure).
  • Universal Adhesion: Excellent grip on wood, masonry, concrete, hardened PVC, and damp substrates.
  • Anti-Corrosive: Safe for application on zinc, steel, and aluminium surfaces without causing oxidation.
  • Solvent-Free: Odourless, safe for use in occupied interiors and confined workshop spaces.

USAGE / EXAMPLE OF USE:

  • Window & Door Installation: Sealing the connecting joint between PVC or wooden frames and surrounding masonry/plaster — the enhanced flexibility accommodates thermal expansion of frames without cracking.
  • Joinery Finishing: Sealing gaps along staircases, skirting boards, and window sills where slight vibration or movement from foot traffic would cause rigid acrylic to crack over time.
  • Kitchen & Bathroom Cabinetry: Sealing perimeter joints around fitted cabinets, countertops, and washbasins where paintability is required but standard acrylic lacks sufficient moisture resistance.
  • Zinc-Titanium Parapets: Sealing connections between zinc-titanium window sills/parapets and masonry — one of the few paintable sealants compatible with this material.
  • Facade Crack Repair: Filling cracks in rendered facades and masonry walls (must be painted over for long-term exterior durability and weather protection).
  • Interior Finishing: General-purpose gap filling and joint sealing where higher flexibility than standard acrylic is needed — around door frames, ceiling trims, and panel connections.

APPLICATION / HANDLING:

SUBSTRATE:

Must be clean, dry, firm, and free of grease, dust, and loose particles. Compatible with slightly damp absorbent substrates. Highly absorbent surfaces should be primed with penetrating primer S2802A, S-T70, or a diluted sealant-water mixture (1:2 ratio).

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead width matching the joint.

Extrude sealant continuously into the joint using a mechanical or pneumatic caulking gun.

Smooth the joint surface immediately with a spatula dipped in water. Remove excess with a scraper.

APPLICATION MUST TAKE PLACE IN DRY CONDITIONS.:

Allow the sealant to cure completely before painting. The sealant shrinks during drying (volume change ~40 %), creating the desired concave profile (fabion). Painting before full cure will cause the paint film to crack.

IMPORTANT:

Apply with slight overfill to compensate for the significant volume shrinkage during drying. When exposed to prolonged moisture or water, the sealant may darken. To prevent this, either apply a protective paint coating from high-emulsion paints or avoid permanently exposing the sealant to elevated humidity and water.

LIMITATIONS:

Not suitable for areas permanently submerged in water (pools, aquariums) or for permanent water immersion without a protective paint coating. Not suitable for use on PE, PP, bituminous substrates, or Teflon. Do not use in fully enclosed (airtight) constructions where water cannot evaporate. In exterior applications, the sealant must be protected from driving rain until fully cured and should be painted over for long-term durability.

CLEANING:

Fresh (uncured) material: water or damp cloth. Cured material: Hraniclean 01 or mechanical removal. Hands: soap and water, followed by repair hand cream.

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE USING:

Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Avoid prolonged skin and eye contact. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to Safety Data Sheet for full information.

STORAGE:

Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Temperature range: +5 °C to +25 °C.

Shelf life: 18 months from the date of manufacture.
