Styrene-Free Chemical Anchoring System

GENERALITIES:

Chemical Anchor Vinylester SF is a high-performance, two-component chemical anchoring system based on styrene-free vinylester resin in methacrylate monomers. Engineered for heavy-duty structural applications, it enables reliable anchoring into all types of substrates including concrete, solid brick, hollow bricks (with mesh sleeves), aerated concrete blocks, and natural stone. The system cures rapidly at temperatures from -10 °C to +40 °C, producing a stress-free bond with no expansion forces on the base material. This makes it ideal for close-to-edge installations and reduced anchor spacing. The product can also be used in water-filled boreholes (without frost), making it suitable for demanding construction conditions.

  • Extreme Load Capacity: Designed for heavy-duty structural anchoring in concrete and masonry with certified performance per ETA / TR 029 / TR 045.
  • Styrene-Free: Low-odour formulation safe for use in confined spaces, workshops, and interiors.
  • Versatile Substrates: Suitable for solid concrete, aerated concrete, hollow bricks (with mesh sleeves), full masonry, and natural stone.
  • Chemical Resistance: Excellent durability against chemicals; suitable for aggressive environments such as swimming pool areas and roadside installations.
  • Wide Temperature Range: Application from -10 °C to +40 °C (substrate included); thermal resistance up to +120 °C after curing.
  • Stress-Free Anchorage: No expansion pressure on the base material, allowing anchoring close to edges and with reduced spacing.
  • Wet & Flooded Holes: Can be applied into water-filled boreholes (without frost formation).
  • ETA Certified: Performance data verified according to European Technical Assessment standards.

USAGE / EXAMPLES OF USE:

  • Carpentry & Timber Construction: Anchoring wooden structures, pergolas, carports, gazebos, and timber frame connections to concrete foundations or masonry walls.
  • Joinery Installation: Securing heavy wooden staircases, handrails, balustrades, and banister posts into walls or floors.
  • Structural Mounting: Fixing steel columns, heavy brackets, base plates, facade elements, scaffolding, cable trays, and console systems.
  • Sports & Outdoor Equipment: Mounting goalpost anchors, playground equipment, fencing posts, gate posts, and bollards.
  • Renovation & Hollow Masonry: Anchoring into hollow bricks, aged masonry, and lightweight blocks using mesh sleeves.
  • Specialty Applications: Anchoring pool stairs, traffic signs, satellite dishes, air conditioning units, canopies, and roller shutters.
  • Rebar Connections: Post-installed reinforcement bar connections (Ø8 to Ø32) for structural strengthening and extensions.

APPLICATION / HANDLING:

APPLICATION INTO SOLID MATERIALS:

Step 1 – Drill the required number of holes to the specified diameter and depth.

Steps 2 & 4 – Remove dust using an air pump. Repeat after loosening particles with the brush.

Steps 3 & 5 – Loosen non-cohesive dust using a round wire brush. Repeat after blowing out.

Step 6 – Final blow-out of remaining dust particles.

Step 7 – Insert cartridge into dispensing gun, screw on mixing nozzle. Extrude approx. 10 cm of mortar outside the holes until a uniform grey colour is achieved.

Step 8 – Dispense mortar into the hole, filling approximately halfway. The mortar will be pushed up when the anchor element is inserted.

Step 9 – Insert the anchor rod with a twisting motion in the direction of thread descent.

Step 10 – The fixture can be attached only after the specified curing time has elapsed.

APPLICATION INTO HOLLOW MATERIALS:

Step 1 – Drill the required number of holes.

Steps 2 & 4 – Remove dust using an air pump.

Step 3 – Loosen non-cohesive dust using a wire brush.

Step 5 – Insert mesh sleeves into the drilled holes.

Step 6 – Insert cartridge, screw on nozzle. Extrude approx. 10 cm outside until uniform grey.

Step 7 – Fill the sleeve completely with mortar. The mortar will push through the mesh into brick cavities.

Step 8 – Insert anchor rod with a twisting motion in the thread direction.

Step 9 – Attach fixture only after full curing time has elapsed.

LIMITATIONS:

Not suitable for PE, PP, or Teflon substrates. Not suitable for holes drilled with diamond core bits. Use mechanical or electric application gun only – do not use pneumatic guns.

SUBSTRATE REQUIREMENTS:

Holes must be clean, dry (or wet/flooded where specified), and free of loose dust, grease, and oil. Proper alternating brush and air pump cleaning is critical for bond strength.

CLEANING:

Uncured material can be removed immediately with technical benzine or thinner. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. Hands should be cleaned with water, soap, and repair cream.

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE USING:

Contains components that may cause sensitization by skin contact. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. Ensure ventilation. Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

STORAGE:

Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Temperature range: +5 °C to +25 °C.

Shelf life: 18 months from the date of manufacture.
