GENERALITIES:

Acrylate Sealant WHITE is a versatile, single-component jointing and sealing compound based on acrylic dispersion. It cures by water evaporation to form a permanently solid, plasto-elastic joint. Formulated primarily for interior finishing work, it excels at sealing gaps, cracks, and connection joints in porous building materials prior to painting. Its solvent-free composition makes it safe for use in enclosed spaces, while anti-corrosive properties extend its compatibility to steel and galvanised metal surfaces.

  • Paintable: Accepts acrylic and dispersion paint coatings once cured — unlike silicone sealants which reject paint.
  • Easy Application: Smooth, thixotropic paste ensures clean extrusion and effortless tooling; fresh material cleans up with water.
  • Broad Adhesion: Excellent grip on wood, plaster, plasterboard, masonry, concrete, gypsum, and chemically treated metals.
  • Anti-Corrosive: Suitable for direct application on steel and galvanised sheet metal without causing oxidation.
  • Solvent-Free: Odourless formulation safe for enclosed interior spaces and occupied buildings.
  • High Elongation: 240 % elongation at break accommodates minor substrate movement without joint failure.

USAGE / EXAMPLE OF USE:

  • Joinery & Cabinetry: Sealing gaps between built-in furniture (wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, shelving units) and walls or ceilings to create a seamless, built-in appearance before final painting.
  • Interior Finishing: Filling hairline cracks and imperfections in plaster, masonry, wood, and concrete surfaces during renovation or new construction.
  • Drywall Construction: Sealing corner joints, perimeter gaps, and connections in plasterboard structures — between boards and frames, ceilings, and partition walls.
  • Painters' Preparation: Filling gaps around skirting boards, door architraves, window casings, and ceiling trim prior to decorating. The sealant's paintability makes it the standard tool for achieving clean paint lines.
  • Window & Door Installation: Sealing the interior connection joint between window/door frames and surrounding masonry to prevent drafts and improve thermal performance.
  • Window Sills & Parapets: Filling expansion gaps around window sills, ceiling panels, and staircase-to-wall connections.
  • HVAC & Utilities: Sub-sealing and gap-filling around ventilation ducts, pipes, elbows, and transition points.

APPLICATION / HANDLING:

Substrate: Surfaces must be clean, dry, firm, and free of dust, grease, and oil. Highly absorbent substrates should be primed with penetrating primer S2802A, S-T70, or a diluted sealant-water mixture (1:2 ratio).

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead width.

Apply sealant evenly into the joint using a mechanical or pneumatic caulking gun.

Smooth the joint surface immediately with a spatula or finishing tool.

Allow to dry thoroughly before painting. Painting too soon may cause the paint film to crack at the sealant layer as it shrinks during cure.

NOTE:

Apply with slight overfill to compensate for volume shrinkage during drying.

LIMITATIONS:

Not suitable for areas permanently exposed to moisture or water (e.g. showers, wet rooms). Not suitable for use on PE, PP, PMMA, PC, bituminous substrates, or Teflon. Do not use in fully enclosed (airtight) constructions where water cannot evaporate. Not suitable for expansion joints with movement exceeding ±12.5 %.

CLEANING:

Fresh (uncured) material: water or damp cloth. Cured material: mechanical removal or Hraniclean 01. Hands: soap and water, followed by repair hand cream.

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE USING:

The product is not classified as hazardous. Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to Safety Data Sheet for full information.

STORAGE:

Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
