Beige (natural colour) filled hot melt adhesive Jowatherm 282.20 with low melting temperature based on EVA in granular form is intended for manual shape banding of furniture edges using manual edge-banding machines. It is ideal for gluing at lower processing temperature using machines with low feed rate. It is characterised by good adhesion.

When using the hot melt adhesive, observe the application temperature and check it on a regular basis by measuring on the roller or nozzle. The temperature shown on the edge-banding machine control panel may differ from the actual temperature. Lower temperature of the adhesive may affect its open time and consequently impair the bonded joint quality. At a higher temperature, the adhesive may degrade, which affects its colour, viscosity and adhesion. In case of break of work, it is suggested to reduce by 30 – 40 °C the temperature in tray to avoid a degradation of the performance of the product. When banding edges from various materials, regular testing of banding strength and quality is advisable. Recommended temperature of the environment and materials is 15 – 25 °C (when gluing cold or damp surfaces, gluing defects may occur due to the reduction in open time).
The working elements should be cleaned using spatula for example. Clean any residual adhesive on furniture elements using Hraniclean 01 (08). In glue pots use EVA-cleaner 50.
Even under normal conditions of use product may produce hazardous vapours which may cause a respiratory tract irritation. Provide adequate ventilation. Before use read the SDS of the product.
Keep in original container. If stored in closed containers in a cold and dry place at temperatures not exceeding 20°C, the shelf life is 24 months.
